The needs of the healthcare industry are vital in Singapore today and particularly so with our rapidly aging population. The number of people aged over 65 is expected to rise to 610,000 by 20201 and facilities catered to this growing trend are planned for with more places in day, home and palliative care. The industry is projected to need 30,000 healthcare professionals1 by then. We have a suite of Health Services programmes catering to the manpower demand, providing you the avenue to be part of this high-growth sector.
The Nursing discipline provides students with a core set of skills and specialist nursing expertise. You will undertake academic and practical modules in areas that are in high demand, including pathophysiology and pharmacology. Nursing graduates are qualified to work in hospitals, community health centres, general practices and mental health units.
The Nursing Degree programme offered by Griffith University is ranked 4th in the World for Nursing by Shanghai Rankings 20192, and is one of the earliest programmes to be accredited by the Singapore Nursing Board3 since 2002.
